In this role, you will identify and engage prospective customers in the SMB and mid-market segments, understand their network infrastructure challenges, and position NetGUI as the solution. You will own the full sales cycle from initial outreach through to closing and onboarding.
This is not a typical software sales role. Our customers buy more than a tool. You will need to understand the technical landscape well enough to have meaningful conversations with network engineers and IT managers, while also being able to present the business value to executive stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound leads, and partner referrals
- Conduct discovery calls and on-site meetings to understand customer network environments and pain points
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to each customer's specific use case
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, proposal, negotiation, and closing
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline with accurate forecasting
- Collaborate with the technical team to scope solutions including software, consulting, and managed services
- Build long-term customer relationships and identify upsell opportunities for additional services (site surveys, hardware leasing, support contracts)
- Represent NetGUI at industry events, trade shows, and networking meetings across Switzerland
- Provide market feedback to the product team on customer needs, competitor activity, and industry trends
Requirements
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience in IT infrastructure, networking, managed services, or enterprise SaaS
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts (LAN/WLAN, switching, network management) and the ability to discuss them credibly with technical buyers
- Experience managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders (engineers, IT managers, procurement, C-level)
- Skilled at conducting product demonstrations and translating technical capabilities into business outcomes
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken); French is a strong plus
- Willingness to travel regularly within Switzerland for customer meetings, site visits, and events
- Valid Swiss or EU driving license (category B)
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
Nice to have
- Existing network of IT decision-makers and partners in the Swiss market
- Experience selling managed network services, consulting engagements, or hardware leasing solutions
- Background working with or selling Cisco, Aruba, or Juniper solutions
- Experience in a startup or scale-up environment where you helped build the sales process from the ground up
- Knowledge of network automation trends and the competitive landscape
What we offer
- Competitive base salary with uncapped commission structure
- Hybrid work model based in Zurich with flexibility
- Direct impact on a growing company. Your work shapes our customer base and revenue
- Opportunity to grow into a sales leadership role as the team expands
- Work alongside technical founders who understand the product inside and out
